Air Quality Notice

BGCNLT will monitor air quality in each of the regions we serve and make adjustments to programming based on the forecasted air quality. The Club will monitor air quality through airnow.gov and www.iqair.com. These sites provide us with a color-coded Air Quality Index that will determine outdoor activities for the day.

Green: Good air quality, outdoor activity will proceed as normal
Yellow: Moderate air quality, outdoor activity will proceed as normal
Orange: Unhealthy for sensitive groups, including youth with asthma; It is okay to be outside but we will limit programming that involves strenuous running and jumping for prolonged periods.
Red: Unhealthy for everyone, Outdoor activity will be limited to transitioning from space to space, and short activities that do not involve running, jumping, or exercise. Programming will be conducted mostly inside. Outdoor field trips will be rescheduled or cancelled. We will attempt to move outdoor-based specialty camps inside but may cancel depending on activity.
Purple: Very unhealthy: All programming will take place indoors, Outdoor field trips, Outdoor Specialty Camps will be cancelled or moved indoors.

In addition, the following measures have been implemented:

1. All Club Members remain indoors until the AQI returns to a safe level.
2. N95 masks will be distributed to all Club Members and Staff. We have a limited supply, and will only be able to provide Members with one mask each for the time being. Please remember to bring them to Club each day!
3. Air purifiers are installed in each Club space to support our current HVAC and filtration system.
