Mindy came to Lake Tahoe from Thurston County, WA over 4 years ago. She is the Director of Operations here at BGCNLT and LOVED by Club kids. Mindy enjoys "hanging out", singing karaoke, playing with Shirley and cooking lunch for the staff in her slow cooker. Email: mcarbajal@bgcnlt.org

Ben was born and raised in Redding, Connecticut. After graduating with a degree in Sports Information and Communications from Ithaca College (Class of ’05), Ben moved west to North Tahoe. He joined the Boys & Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe in November of 2005. Ben has a passion for music as a percussionist, and sports. He plays soccer, basketball, softball, skis, and bowls throughout North Tahoe to stay active. One day he hopes to see the Mets win the World Series and the N.Y. Ryan recently moved to the Tahoe area to work at the Boys and Girls Club of North Lake Tahoe while serving for a year with the Americorps program. He was born and raised in Johnson City, TN and graduated from Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, NC with a degree in Business Administration. He loves all sports but specifically enjoys basketball, golf, snowboarding and skiing. Ryan has decided to stay at the Boys and Girls Club after his year of service with AmeriCorps.

Maria Sandoval was born in Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico. She lived there for nine years and then moved to Los Angeles. She lived in Los Angeles for 21 years and then decided to move to Lake Tahoe to raise her four kids Mariela, Denise, Danny, and Patty in a different environment. All of her children attend the Boys & Girls Club. Her 16 year old daughter, Patty, was working for BGC during her summer vacation and is again working with the kids in Power Hour. Christin moved to Lake Tahoe from Colorado six years ago with her spouse Jacob and their yellow lab Zoey. Along with her passion for cooking she enjoys the outdoors, snowboarding, hiking and golf. I have been living and working in Kings Beach for 8 years. Originally I came to Lake Tahoe to study Art and Psychology at Sierra Nevada College. Throughout my college experience, I gained a family of friends and interests that keep me living an exploratory life at the lake.

Ashley has been in Tahoe for 15 years. She graduated from Sierra Nevada College in 2008 with a degree in Fine Arts. She likes inspiring the kids to be creative and explore new ideas.

Chelsea-Rae Kravitz recently moved to Lake Tahoe after graduating from California State University Chico with a degree in Journalism Public Relations and a minor in Health Science. She was born and raised at the beach in beautiful sunny Ventura, California. She decided to move to Tahoe on a whim after completing her third summer as a Teen Volunteer Advisor at the Santa Barbara Zoo. She began work with the Kinders at BGCNLT and is now enjoying working in the Teen Center with her passion-teens! Being that she is only 22 years-old she feels that she can really connect with teens because she not only is a mentor & a confidant but a friend!

I am very excited for my first year at the Boys and Girls Club. Here are a few interesting things about me: I was born in Ohio and raised in North Carolina. I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill (GO HEELS!) in 2010 and this is my first year in Tahoe. My favorite ice cream flavor is cookie dough; my favorite movies are Rocky I-IV; my dream car is a Mercedes G-Wagon. Teh craziest thing I've done is jump into a Moi-Thai ring for two rounds while traveling in Thailand.

Greta was born and raised in Athens, GA. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a degree in International Affairs. She enjoys traveling and live music.

Ali was born and raised in Kings Beach. After college, living up and down the west coast and traveling, she made her way back to Tahoe to work in the community she loves. When not playing with the kinders, she likes getting outside to enjoy everything Tahoe has to offer, drawing, painting and crafts.

I was raised in Kings Beach, graduated from NTHS and all four of my siblings have worked at the Boys and Girls Club. I just got back from a year exchange to Sweden and I love to learn about different cultures and travel. I hope to teach the kids at the Club about different cultures and make a difference in their lives.

Matt is originally from Texas (GO COWBOYS!) and has lived in Tahoe for about a year. He loves Tahoe and outdoor activities--and has no plan to leave anytime soon.
